NHS England - Net Zero Building Standard and supporting projects

NHS England is the publicly funded healthcare system in England, and one of the four systems which make up the National Health Service in the United Kingdom. The NHS is the second largest single-payer healthcare system in the world and in 2019 the NHS became the first national health system in the world to commit to net zero emissions, launching its new National Programme for a Greener NHS

One of several projects for NHS England, Square Gain developed the world’s first Net Zero Building Standard, working with our heath sector partners Archus.

This forms part of several commissions by NHS England, where we have also produced:
